Altus windows news update

This article was added on Monday 13 March 2017

Just a bit of an update on our whereabouts.

Conservatories are proving to be really popular at present with people extending and adding to their properties instead of moving house.

We are still fitting many front and back doors too, mainly Composite and Rockdoors.

Anthracite Grey is hugely popular at present as is Black and Chartwell Green however we do offer a wide choice of colours and even fitted a bright yellow front door and a rasberry pink cottage style last month that both looked really striking.

If you are unable to find the appropriate colour on the website then please do ask as we can normally manage to accomodate you.

Something we do offer which people seem to like is the number of your property etched into the glass.

It can either be at the side of the door or above the door if you have a panel. There are some examples of this on our facebook page too.

The majority of our work is still fitting lovely new windows.  There is much more variety now than there used to be with colours, glass patterns and fancy handles etc so people can be more creative with their properties and ideas.

There is a lot of positive feedback and reviews on our facebook page as customers seem to find it easier to comment there. So if you would like a bit more information about us then please check out our page.

Photo: Guttering - often forgotten but so imporrtant

This week we have been working in Broughton Astley on some guttering on an extension.  We have been using white square guttering on this job and it looks really neat and professional.  We shall share pictures of this job later in the week.

Guttering is so often overlooked. Not only does it do an important job it can also add a design feature to your property. I willl add some pictures to both this and our facebook page of some guttering examples.its not just upvc we also do aluminium guttering which can replace cast iron guttering on feature properties and looks just as good.

We have used an anthracite fascia with a light grey grey soffit.  to complete this we have used black aluminium seamless gutters.

This gives a neat, efficient and practical finish whilst looking great.

Photo: This weeks job in Desford.. keeping us busy !

This is the job that has been keeping us busy this week in Desford.  We have fitted new windows, doors and sills.  Also the fascias and soffits.  Even with the scaffolding still in place it still looks great.

When it comes ro scaffolding don't let the thought of needing it put you off having a job done.  We use a local reliable firm who charge reasonable prices and we sort it all for you so there's no extra worry!

Custom made guttering accessories?

This article was added on Thursday 24 March 2011

Photo: Custom made guttering accessories?

For the sake of neatness, we have created a rainwater outlet out of a 90 degree guttering corner.

On this particular job the downpipes have been swopped from round to square, this is normally ok but on this occasion we were unable to fit the outlet accessories in without making the down-pipe unsightly with several angled bends.

We used some simple tools and a bit of innovative thinking and came up with this solution.
